Review: 2019 Volvo XC40

The 2019 XC40 trims include T5 Momentum and T5 R-Design. The 2018 XC40 T5 AWD Momentum includes standard 12.3-inch Digital Driver Display, Rear Park Assist Camera, Rain Sensor, Sensus Connect with a complimentary subscription, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

Both trims of the all-new XC40 include a High-Performance Audio System or the option for Harman Kardon Premium Sound system.

Performance and Fuel Economy

The 2019 XC40 is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine mated to an 8-speed Geartronic automatic transmission with all-wheel drive. Both trims feature Drive Mode Settings, Electrical Power Steering Personalization, cap-less fuel filling, and Start/Stop Technology. The R-Design adds a Sport Chassis and paddle shifters.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, the 2019 XC40 gets 23 MPG city, 31 MPG highway, and 26 MPG combined.
