Performance
Kansas City drivers will enjoy choosing between the three available engines for the Volvo S90. The base engine is a 250-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder unit named the T5. At 258 pound-feet of torque and available with both front- and all-wheel drive options, you'll find plenty of fun despite this being a base level engine. And with fuel economy estimated at 34 mpg highway, 24 mpg city, and 27 mpg combined, your daily drive won't break the bank.
Overland Park drivers seeking a little extra kick of power will enjoy the 316-horsepower T6. This engine combines the power of a supercharger and turbocharger to add both power and torque (295 pound-feet from 258) and send it to all four wheels. And economy is still respectable at 31 mpg highway, 22 mpg city, and 25 mpg combined.
If you're looking for the best of the best, check out the T8 hybrid. Borrowing technology from the world of racing and supercars, this dual-motor setup uses the T6 as its combustion engine and adds an 87-horsepower electric motor. Generating the power for the electric motor pulls a small amount of power out of the T6, but still, a total of 400 horsepower and 472 pound-feet of torque make the T8 an incredible amount of fun. And because it's a hybrid, you'll get an estimated 72 MPGe, so the fuel savings are excellent as well.
